My reason:
A strong economy is linked with good health outcomes.
We are a prosperous city and yet, not everyone is prospering. We need to continue to encourage strong, diverse local and regional economies ensuring that we leave no one behind. Everyone needs a paycheck for a good period of their lives.
My commitments:
- I will work closely with all businesses because they belong to, and contribute to our community. In particular, I will champion the local, independent business owners who keep our community strong and vibrant.
- I will make intelligent decisions to support an economy that is more inclusive, diverse and sustainable. We have so many opportunities for supporting a circular economy here in Victoria.
